Change h tag for footer widgets

Hello again.

We need the Widget titles in the footer to be h4, not h3 – for best SEO practice.

I have installed and activated the child theme, added a framework folder, and edited the register-widgets.php file within. However this is not working.

Can you please tell me if the above is the correct process, or if I have missed something.

Hi.,

Sorry for the trouble, you can only overwrite the WordPress default template files like (header files), so you can’t overwrite our framework files via the child theme.

So, you can customize the widget title tag under the parent theme. Before updating the theme you should take a backup of your customized files, after updating you can replace the new file with existing file.
