How To Create A Mega Menu

Step 1 : Navigate to Appearance > Menus section of your admin sidebar and select the Create a New Menu link to create a new menu, or edit a current menu that you already have.

Step 2 : Only First Level items can enable the Mega Menu. Click the Arrow icon next to any First Parent Level menu item to expand the Option box. You will see an option called Enable Fusion Mega Menu, check the box to enable the Mega Menu.

Step 3 : Set the Mega Menu Number of Columns options that will determine how many columns will be displayed. Also, choose if you want to enable the Full Width Mega Menu option.

Step 4 : Each menu item can have a font awesome icon, or a custom image thumbnail next to it. If using font awesome icon, use fa- in the name. Ex: fa-camera. If using a custom image, click the Set Thumbnail button to upload an image.

Step 5 : Second Level menu items will show the title text above each column. To add a Second Level item inside the Mega Menu, select one of your pages on the left hand side and click the Add to Menu button, or add a post, or a custom link from the left hand side. To make it a Second Level menu item, drag the menu item into place, below and to the right of the First Parent Level menu item.

Step 6 : The Third Level menu item will be the smaller menu items in each column. To add a Third Level menu item, repeat step 5 above and drag and drop the new menu item into place, below and to the right of the Second Level menu item.

Step 7 : Second & Third level menu items can have a widget area assigned. Create a new widget section by going to Appearance > Sidebars and clicking the + Add New Sidebar button. Give the new widget area a name, and save it. Then navigate to Appearance > Widgets to add widgets to the section. Once you add your widgets and save it, go back to the menu section and select the name of the new widget section in the Mega Menu Widget Area dropdown field.

Step 8 : After setting up your menu, scroll down to the bottom of the page to assign the menu to the Main Menu location in the Theme Locations box. Once its all done, make sure you click the Save button.
